
We accept bookings online through our online booking diary only.
Please note we do not take reservations by phone.
On completion of a booking, you will receive a confirmation email.
If you do not receive a confirmation email within 24 hours of making your booking please contact the restaurant directly via email, so we can make sure your reservation is in our system.
Solstice is a reservation only restaurant and we do not accept walk ins for tables.
By making a reservation at Solstice you agree to our reservation & cancellation terms.

To secure your table we require a deposit of £50 per person for all reservations.
The deposit per person paid will automatically come off your bill at the end of your meal.
For a cancellation within 72 hours of the date and time of arrival, we will keep the whole payment as a cancellation charge. For cancellation outside of 72 hours, we will refund the whole payment (minus a £5 per person administration charge).
You are most welcome to transfer your booking into someone else’s name should you need to make changes at the last minute.

As we are a small business that operates on serving just 15 customers per service, in these challenging times it’s more important than ever to honour your booking and respect the cancellation policy. By doing so, you are helping us to sustain our business.

All cancellations must be requested via email along with your booking reference number.
We recommend allowing 2 – 2.5 hours for the lunch tasting experience.
We recommend allowing 3 – 3.5 hours for the Dinner tasting experience.
We do not have a strict dress code policy. We want you to be comfortable in our home during your dining experience.
We only ask for no sportswear, sleeveless t-shirts, flip flops & Football shirts.
We only serve a single tasting menu focused on quality ingredients, seasonality, emphasising simplicity and sustainable practices.
Due to the nature of our menue we can not cater for the following allergens;
dairy, allium, mushroom, mustard, sulphites, vegans and vegetarians at this time.

Lunch: Friday & Saturday: 12.00pm – 1.00pm (last sitting)
Dinner: Wednesday to Saturday: 7.00pm - 8.00pm (last sitting)
Closed: Sunday, Monday & Tuesday
Unfortunately, due to the listed status of the building, we are unable to offer wheelchair access to both the restaurant and the downstairs guestrooms.
However, we can offer wheelchair access with downstairs facilities at our sister restaurant House of Tides.
Please note we do not accept cash payments at the restaurant.
We do accept all debit & credit cards such as Visa & MasterCard
Please arrive on time for your booking, please contact info@solsticencl.com if you are running late.
Please note that arriving more than 30 minutes late may result in missing part of your experience.
Young guests are welcome as long as they participate in dining from our regular menu.
However, we are unable to accept small children and babies as it is not a suitable environment. We do not have child friendly facilities and we wish to respect all of our diners’ experience
Unfortunately, we do not allow dogs into the restaurant, only with the exception of guide dogs or assistance dogs.
Unfortunately, we do not have a car park; However, there is a public car park opposite our restaurant, £1.20 per hour and free after 6pm, Also, there are several car parks within short walking distance from the restaurant.
Newcastle Central Station is only a 10-minute walk away from the restaurant
